As a Janitor at Brentwood Bay Resort, you are essential in shaping the first and lasting impressions our guests experience. Your commitment to excellence and attention to detail ensures that every space—front and back of house—reflects the high standards of care and pride we are known for. A clean, safe, and welcoming environment is the foundation of every guest experience, and your work directly supports that promise.
A day in the life
- Clean and sanitize public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, spa spaces, and staff areas
- Maintain the cleanliness of back-of-house areas, including laundry rooms, storage spaces, and kitchens
- Regularly sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors across the property
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure recycling practices are followed
- Respond to cleaning requests and small maintenance needs promptly and professionally
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor when inventory is low
- Ensure safe use and storage of all cleaning products and equipment
- Report any maintenance concerns or damages observed during shifts
What we hope you'll bring to the team
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience is an asset but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently while being an active, supportive part of a team
- Comfort with physical work including lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- A positive attitude and genuine pride in creating beautiful, clean spaces
