As Pub Support, you’re right in the heart of the action—welcoming guests at the door, delivering fresh dishes from the kitchen, and keeping the pub floor flowing with energy and ease. You’re often the first friendly face our guests see and the extra set of hands that keeps everything running smoothly. Whether you’re managing seating, helping clear tables, or jumping in wherever needed, you help create the lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes our pub a favourite for locals and guests alike. A day in the life
- Greet guests warmly, manage waitlists, and assist with seating to set the stage for a positive experience.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to make sure food is delivered hot, fresh, and looking its best.
- Keep an eye on the pace of service, adjusting seating and communication between front and back of house as needed.
- Monitor tables and pacing of service, adjusting flow and communication between the front and back of house as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and polished dining areas, including resetting tables, refilling water, and assisting with table maintenance.
- Keep the dining room, host stand, and entryway clean, organized, and ready to impress.
- Support your teammates wherever needed—because great service is a team effort.
- Bring a positive, upbeat energy to every shift and help create an environment where guests feel genuinely cared for.
What we hope you’ll bring to the team
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is an asset, but if you’re naturally friendly, quick on your feet, and eager to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.
- A strong communicator who can stay cool under pressure and help keep service flowing smoothly.
- A team player who sees what needs to be done and jumps in without being asked.
- Comfort being on your feet, carrying trays, and moving quickly between tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to match the rhythms of our busy pub.
- Reliable transportation to and from Brentwood Bay Resort.
