What this role is significant
As a Server in the Arbutus Room, you are a key part of what makes our fine dining experience exceptional. You bring warmth, precision, and professionalism to each guest interaction, guiding them through our menus and atmosphere with confidence and grace. Your timing, attentiveness, and polished service ensure that every visit is memorable for all the right reasons.
A day in the life
- Welcome guests with a warm, personable greeting that sets the tone for their experience
- Present menus with confidence and offer thoughtful suggestions, showcasing in-depth knowledge of our cuisine, wine, and cocktail offerings
- Accurately take and input orders, accommodating dietary needs, allergies, and special requests with care
- Serve food and beverages with finesse and attention to timing, presentation, and guest preferences
- Maintain an attentive presence throughout the meal, anticipating needs and ensuring seamless service
- Clear and reset tables efficiently while upholding cleanliness and elegance in the dining room
- Keep service areas impeccably clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Process payments accurately through the POS system and ensure smooth transaction handling
What we hope you'll bring to the team
- A minimum of one year of serving experience in a fine dining environment
- A polished, confident, and service-driven presence with a keen ability to read the room and elevate guest experiences
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to create meaningful connections through genuine hospitality
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment that demands professionalism and poise
- A passion for food, wine, and cocktails, along with a desire to continuously grow your knowledge and refine your craft
